The Apple Chords Barbershop Quartet has been entertaining audiences for more than 30 years. They definitely have barbershop music with appeel! The quartet specializes in old fashioned barbershop harmony, but it is not uncommon to hear them drift off into some country western or possibly a heart wrenching ballad that brings tears to your eyes.
The group is comprised of local musicians and their program is family oriented. All ages will find delight in their performances. The bass, Lyle Gleesing, is a retired college math professor. The tenor, Bud Stone, is the president of his city's Chamber of Commerce. The bariton, Scott Shrimpton, is an accomplished music instructor. The lead, Niels Henriksen, is a production manager at a local industrial complex. All live in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area.
The Apple Chords bring song and laughter with them wherever they go. It is not unusual to hear them break into impromptu song as they walk down a street, nor is it uncommon to catch them in the act of serenading a lucky waitress who provided them with superior service.
They are well known at the Grand Rapids Tall Timber Days Festival, Hoyt Lakes Water Carnival, Hibbing Mines and Pines Celebration, Grand Rapids Showboat, Myles Reif Performing Arts Center, Vining Watermelon Festival and many more venues too numerous to list here!
Sprinkled with humor, their performances are a delight to experience.

you would expect. Listening to her tales of how she came up through the
ranks and the mountains she had to climb will only bring you closer to
the heart of one of the all time greats. A taste of real country...
Marry two musicians together with a flair for the acoustic and what do
you get...."Skaja's Hammer Dulicmer and Guitar" music. Learn the history
of the instruments while listening to these street corner performers at
your fair, private gathering, or community event. The background flavor
of their music draws gentle smiles out of older folks and questions from
kids about the instruments. The pair have performed at Bovey Farmer's
Day, Deer River Wild Rice Festival, Itasca County Fair, schools, and
private events. It is a style of music seldom heard in our day and age.

Remember those days around the campfire when you sang rounds like "Row-Row-Row Your Boat" and the 1960's and 70's Smothers Brothers tunes? Well they're back in the form of Jim Cagle and Bill Adamson. These two sang together in high school and college, then lived separate lives after they got married and began teaching careers...one in Minnesota and one in Arizona. In, 2000 they returned to reunite in song and comedy as The Simple Guys.
The duo has performed for the likes of: Itasca County Fair in Grand Rapids, MN, SHOWBOAT, INC., Grand Rapids City Arts in the Park, Polk County Fair in Fertile, MN, Steele County Fair in Owatonna, church groups, and reunions. They develop a friendly level of interaction with the audience which is family oriented and sparked with a touch of audience participation. Great for large or small groups, opening act, senior days, kids groups.
The story goes that little Shotgun Red was found in a Minnesota hobby shop by Steve Hall in 1980. (If you ask Shotgun, he might tell the tale vice versa!) Whichever you believe, Red became the M.C. for Steve's band. From there, the group's path to stardom began. After winning a "Battle of the Bands" contest in 1982, the band traveled to Nashville for the final competition. While in Music City, Steve and Red "crashed" country broadcast legend Ralph Emery's morning show. Ralph instantly took a liking to the quick witted Shotgun Red and asked him (with his right hand man Steve, of course) to come back to Nashville and be a guest with him on TNN's new flagship series, Nashville Now. The rest is history.
Shotgun Red was a regular member of the Nashville Now cast for over ten years. He also appeared for seven years on one of country music's most successful syndicated and cable network TV programs, Hee Haw, and even hosted TNN's first music video show, Country Clips, for six years. In all this time, Steve Hall has remained with the Shotgun Red Band performing as their leading man on the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville for seven years and over 3500 shows. When they're not at Opryland, Steve Hall, Shotgun Red and the Shotgun Red Band also appear nationally at fairs, conventions, and cruises performing the Shotgun Red Show which features a versatile seven piece band doing impressions of Country Music stars along with great comedy and top country hits.
Narvel Felts was one of the original rockabilly artists in the 50's. He became one of the major country artists of the 70's and of all time.
Albert Narvel Felts was born November 11, 1938, in a farm house near Keiser, Arkansas, joining his parents - Albert and Lena Felts - and his sister, Ogareeda.
In 1953 when Narvel was 14, he moved with his parents to the community of Powe, near Bernie, Missouri.
In 1956 at the age of 17, a high school talent contest in Bernie, Missouri, led to Narvel becoming one of the original Sun Records recording artists and to a lasting career. He would go on to be one of the top country artists of the 1970's. His more than 70 hits internationally (1959-2001) include the 1975 Record of the Year, "Reconsider Me."
On April 30, 1962, Narvel married Loretta Stanfield. They were blessed with two childres; a daughter, Stacia, and a son, Narvel "Bud" Felts, Jr.
Bud grew up to become a great drummer, recording and touring the world with his dad. On September 14, 1995, life's greatest tragedy devastated the Felts family. They lost "Bud" in a car accident on a foggy highway near Campbell, Missouri. Bud was only 31.
Narvel entered the 2000's numbered among the top country and rockabilly artists of all time. He has since had records reach the top of the European airplay charts. Even now, with the family's tragedy, he continues to tour. He is in demand for both country and rock 'n' roll shows internationally. More than 200 of his recordings have been release on CD. They continue to sell around the world.
Through the years, Narvel has made many network television appearances in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and New Zealand.
For over 30 years, they’ve played the Minnesota Renaissance in Shakopee as well as
other festivals around the United States. This pair of roving
Shakespearen actors bring comedy and politically incorrectness to task.
They are skillful swordsmen with a flare of wit, embellished with a lust
for the ladies. Mature audiences are suggested as the material is a "bit
bawdy" as they say.

will laugh...you will be shocked...you will want more....

A Country Music Legend, a true gentleman, a raconteur and storyteller, Sherwin Linton is a man with thousands of friends. He launched his career in the music business in the mid 1950's as a disc jockey and live performer of Rock-A-Billy Music on radio station KWAT in Watertown, South Dakota. Sherwin moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1957, and expanded his territory from the Midwest to playing nightclubs and ballrooms throughout the country. He journeyed to Nashville in 1966 where he cut "Cotton King," a song that catapulted him to the top of the Country charts. Roy Acuff, with whom Sherwin toured, was so impressed with Linton's talents that Sherwin was signed to the legendary Acuff-Rose Publishing Company and Hickory Records, resulting in numerous TV show appearances and cost-to-coast tours. Following the release of a 1971 live album "Hello, I'm Not Johnny Cash" Linton received multiple national nominations for the CMA and ACM. Subsequent hits included the 1986 novelty song, "Santa Got A DWI," an anti-drunk driving song that hit the charts and has become a Christmas favorite. Sherwin is a member of the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, the South Dakota Musicians Hall of Fame, and the National Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame. For the past twenty four years Pam Linton has shared the stage with her husband Sherwin. Pam can best be described as "Hollywood Down Home." She has the style of a celebrity super star and the friendly qualities of the girl next door. Her 1996 recordings "Silver & Gold" and "River Of No Return" earned her independent chart placement in Australia, The Netherlands, Slovenia, and The United States. Not just all across the United States, but around the world: seven chicks rocking out, holding their own musically and vocally against anyone, male or female. Fun, flirty, and electrifying: it's Mustang Sally.
Dynamic lead singer Tobi Lee (North Vernon, In), sweet-voiced rhythm guitarist Brenda Zitzman (New Ulm, MN), fun-loving keyboard player Rachel Soloman (Austin, TX), incredible lead guitarist Alex Nolan (Upstate N.Y.), grooving bassist Amanda Ruzza (Sao Paulo, Brazil), and crazy fiddle player Sarah Wilfong (Chicago, IL), are all held together by the rock solid beat and harmony vocals of drummer Lisa Romeo (Omaha, NE).
Mustang Sally has played high profile dates with George Jones, Lee Ann Rimes, John Anderson, Mark Chestnut, Dierks Bentley, .38 Special and Neil McCoy, among others. Popular fair and festival headliners, Mustang Sally has also been sought to perform at military bases, rodeos, motorcycle rallies, and clubs, from New York to Las Vegas to the Middle East of Europe.
Mustang Sally began as Lisa Romeo's inspiration, and she searched the world for the most talented female musicians and vocalists to carry out her vision. Between all seven members of the band there is virtually every possible musical influence, including samba, blues, Celtic, and rock n' roll. Each girl is talented enough in her own right to be a solo artist, and Mustang Sally blends that level of artistry into a sound that blows audiences away, playing everything from edgy country to southern rock, with the unexpected bluesy chord progression, R&B riff, or bluegrass twang worked in so effortlessly that one wonders why the tunes haven't been played like this before.
The girls consider the audience their extended family and have as much fun chatting with the crown and signing autographs as they do rocking on stage. Follow Mustang Sally's rising star as these amazingly talented young women make their mark on the world!
Gwen grew up in rural North Dakota, riding horses and bringing in the cattle at round up. At the age of 3 she entered her first talent show and has been performing ever since. Whether it was with her mom and dad with their band, Midnight Ride, or out on her own, Gwen never gave up the chance to be heard.
After the urging of several A&R representatives in Nashville, Gwen moved to Nashville. Her first performance there was at the famous Bluebird Cafe where she shared her songwriting talents. Since then, she has become one of the house bands at the world re-knowned Wildhorse Saloon and has opened up for Sugarland, The Oak Ridge Boys, Don Williams and Warner Brothers recording artist, Ray Scott. Gwen performs everything from her own originals to covers by Trick Pony to Patsy Cline. Her voice has been compared to such stylists as Dolly Parton, Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan. Gwen is not afraid to jump out into the crowd and has been known to somersault across the stage a time or two.
Gwen loves traveling around the country and meeting new fans. She states that, "it's the smiles on people's faces that keeps me going".
There are many well-respected singers, songwriters and performers out there, but not many can say that they do it all. Gwen Sebastian is the total package. Her high-energy show is not to be missed!
Native Americans, Reuben and Ash Fast Horse and their children provide
fun, entertainment, and ethnic education when they perform traditional
dances in full regalia. Arts grants have helped to cover the costs of
this act around the nation as they tour schools, community events,
fairs, and festivals. Education and colorful dance are the primary
purposes of this family. However, they also like audience participation
and comedy where appropriate. The children have become part of the show
as they learn the arts of their parents which adds another dimension to
this wonderful show. Great for free stage and grandstand at a fair; but
,a very unique tool for education in schools, at corporate events, and
chamber of commerce annual dinners.

"I remember singing to the albums of Lionel Ritchie, Elvis Presley and The Beach Boys most of my childhood. We had a pizza parlor in town called Shakey's Pizza and after every local baseball game the whole team would go there to eat. I never left that place without singing Elvis's "Jailhouse Rock". I was probably only 12 years old, but had a dream to either play Pro baseball or be a big time performer. Music has always been a big part of my life and I just love the way it makes you feel." said Bret Cook.
"I remember singing as far back as 4-5 years old. Being able to hear and sing harmony I learned at a very young age. I have a background of many talented family members starting with my parents. My dad has sung and played music professionally most of his life while mom stayed home writing songs. My parents loved gospel music so they started a group (Churchbells) and we traveled to various churches to share our music ministry. Also growing up we had a group called The Luxury Band (3 brothers and a sister), it was a variety band and I sang with them till I was 24 years old. Two of my brothers are still playing music while my sister sings background vocals for Cook & Belle. In 1992 I married Bret Cook and the rest is history." said Michelle Belle (Cook).
